Palermo’s Fabrizio Miccoli is trying to convince Juventus veteran Alessandro Del Piero to join the club.

Juventus have recently announced that they will not be offering Del Piero a new contract at the end of the season. Nevertheless, it seems the Italian has no shortage of suitors, with reports linking him to Paris Saint-Germain and the MLS.

Having played with Del Piero previously during his spell at the Bianconeri, Miccoli is hoping to persuade his fellow striker to join him at Palermo once his current contract expires.

“I will try to convince him to come to Palermo, life is good at Palermo and I don’t think he will ask for a huge contract.” he told Sky Sport Italia.

The Rosanero forward is so eager to play on the same side as Del Piero that he has offered to vacate his jersey number for the experienced striker.

“I would even be more than happy to give him my No.10 jersey if he joins us.” Miccoli said.

Miccoli will be reunited with Del Piero when Palermo host Juventus in the Serie A this Saturday.
